S98形式のサウンドログファイルおよびPMDファイルを再生するソフトウェアです。
S98形式は主に、PC-9801シリーズで採用されたYAMAHA製音源チップシリーズである、OPN(YM2203)やOPNA(YM2608)などのログを対象にしたものです。
本ソフトウェアではループ回数とiPodイコライザを利用することができる他、OPMシリーズのログも演奏することができます。
S98形式のVersion 1および3に対応していますが、以下の制限があります。
・圧縮されたファイルの動作確認はしていません
・Version 3に定義されているモノラル音源のパン振り分けには対応していません
本ソフトウェアを利用するために、リズムファイルおよびS98ファイル、PMDファイルをiPhone（ないしiPod touch）に転送する必要があります。転送にはiPhoneの「ファイル」アプリを利用します。
- 「ファイル」アプリを開き、「ブラウズ」タブを選択します
- 「場所」にある「このiPhone内」を選択します
- 「S98Player」フォルダが見えるので、そこにデータを格納します
- 格納に際しての注意事項は以下のiTunes File Sharingと同様です
以下は、iTunes File Sharingの機能を利用したこれまでの方法です。
・iPhoneをマシンに接続した状態でiTunesを開きます
・左側の「デバイス」欄から本ソフトウェアをインストールしたiPhoneを選択します
・タブから「App」を選択し、タブ内に「ファイル共有」欄があるのを確認します
・本ソフトウェアのアイコンをクリックすると右側に書類一覧が現れるので、
そこにリズムファイルおよびS98ファイル、PMDファイルを追加します
・ファイル整理のため、ZIPファイルやフォルダをドラッグアンドドロップ
することも可能です
・ただし、リズムファイルは必ずルートディレクトリに保存してください
リズムファイル名は、他のS98プレーヤ同様、2608_BD.WAV, 2608_HH.WAV, 2608_RIM.WAV, 2608_SD.WAV, 2608_TOM.WAV, 2608_TOP.WAVの6種類です。一つでも欠けているとリズム音が鳴りません。
本ソフトウェアは、cisc氏(cisc@retropc.net)作成のFM Sound Generator with OPN/OPM interfaceを利用しています。このインタフェース部分に関してはcisc氏が著作権を有しています。
